Taxi Rates

Passengers Bill of Rights and Responsibilities:

• Your cab driver is licensed and must be courteous to you at all times.
• Your cab must be clean, comfortable and safe.
• The shortest or the requested route should be taken to your destination.
• A receipt should be provided upon request.
• Your cab driver must follow all the traffic rules and regulations.
• Heat or air conditioning should be turned on/off at your request.
• Smoking in NOT allowed in the vehicle.
• For your safety, you must use the curb side door to exit the vehicle.
• For your safety use your seat belt.
• Remember to check your belonging before exiting the cab.
• Promptly pay your fare after reaching your destination.
• Treat your cab driver with respect and courtesy.
• Cell phone usage by the driver is prohibited, except in emergencies.

Rates:

Maximum Fares: Drivers may agree to discount rates for trips over 5 miles, however, meter must keep running.

Flag Pull: $2.25

Each additional mile: $1.80

Every 6 minutes of waiting time: $2.00

Additional passenger between 12 and 65: $.50

Average fares:

O'Hare Airport to Downtown: $34.00 - $38.00

Midway Airport to Downtown: $23.00 - $28.00

Downtown to United Center:    $9.00 - $13.00

Shared Ride Zones:

• Four persons maximum. 
• No extra charge for baggage or credit card usage.
• Drivers are not required to carry or change bills over $20.00.
• 10 minute wait for passengers not traveling together. Prices listed are per person/trip.
• Shared rides  are available from O'Hare and Midway airport and McCormick Place to anywhere in the designated boundaries:
  

  From O'Hare to Downtown & McCormick Place ---  $19.00 per person.

  From Midway to Downtown & McCormick Place --- $14.00 per person.

  For O'Hare to Midway ---------------------------------- $35.00 per person.

  For Midway to O'Hare ---------------------------------- $35.00 per person.

  For McCormick Place to Downtown ------------------ $35.00 per person.
